My lifelong passion for technology led to valuable experience in computer repair, providing direct customer support and technical solutions, during my formative years in Mesa, AZ. This early hands-on work, combined with a commitment to continuous learning, laid the foundation for my professional path. After earning a teaching degree from Arizona State University, I gained further expertise by earning a Master's in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University. This experience further fostered my interest in the exploration of innovative approaches to leverage technology for enhanced learning experiences. This journey helped craft my skillsets in identifying challenges, learning new technologies quickly, and applying them effectively to achieve positive outcomes.
I value the time I spent with dedicated and innovative teams at American Leadership Academy. It was there, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, that I helped lead the implementation of virtual learning initiatives in the early days of American Leadership Academy - Virtual Campus. This experience provided valuable insight into adapting educational strategies for a virtual environment and supporting students and families in navigating new technologies. I played a key role in developing and delivering virtual instruction, and the innovative solutions and support I provided are a source of pride. My goal is to continue contributing to teams dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and achieving impactful results on the lives of learners.
Some of the things I enjoy doing most in my free time:
While on a hike, we found this really cool tree and decided to recreate a scene from the Lord of the Rings.
My Crew - Me (as a ring wraith), our dog Willow (as my stead), my daughters Claire and Emily, my son Logan (as hobbits), and my wife on camera duty.
